So there's many types of love and I've heard it growing up.
- Mommy loves daddy.
- Brother loves sister.
- Friend loves friend.
- Parent loves their kids.
- I love NY.
- etc...

A few days ago, I was freshly introduced into the world of fatherhood. (This is the short version) I'm in the delivery room and Sheena's going through labor pains and all of a sudden the nurse notices the baby's heart rate decrease. A rush of on call doctors and nurses come in to stabilize the baby. Being in the medical field, I could decipher the array of different diagnosis that were being thrown in the air. There were a thousand scenarios running through my mind in that room. At this moment I felt my heart sunk into my chest knowing that this little baby that was created can affect me this way (I'm usually emotionless). It was an overwhelming feeling of parenthood that can only be described through experience, this new love. I haven't even met this little girl and she took my breath away. In my head, I was thinking there is no way little girl that we have come this far for us not to meet you. The key was to stay positive, I knew Sheena and the baby depended on it. The experienced doctors and nurses did an excellent job to avoid a potentially serious situation. Needless to say, Allie, our newest family member was delivered without issues and mommy did AWESOME.
Finally, being able to hold the baby was even more rewarding; knowing that this little person is totally dependent on you for everything. The wait was worth it, Sheena and I are ecstatic.
So the journey begins, sleepless nights and dirty diapers...all for Love.
AHH yes, can't forget the love that got us here, God is love.
HodgePodge OUT.
