Politics...zzzzz

I like pictures!
I know its a touchy subject, but I don't care (Freedom of Speech!). So over the years I have been on the fence when it comes to politics and voting. I know its our privilege and duty as citizens to exercise our right to vote to ensure your voice is heard. Lately I just feel that politics now is just a matter of picking the lesser of two evils. All the candidates in the presidential campaign seem like just plain idiots and it just turns me off from government as a whole. So when I mean on the fence, I mean on the fence about caring enough to go vote, or take a part in understanding the issues.

A lot of my opinions have been formed by a combination of the media and campaigns as well as the way situations are handled in a country. The media plays a big role in anything, they can spin people's view anyway they choose. The media has portrayed elected officials as lying, cheating heads of government. Or maybe the politicians do a good job of portraying themselves as the latter.

Campaigns, now if someone is to run for president of the country wouldn't you know the branches of the government? Referring to Rick Perry's one of many blunders during a debate. I mean his campaign was literally a joke. What's left of the batch is not much better, they maybe a little smarter but even more sleazy. It just seems as if government is just moving along without any aim.

Maybe its just my ignorance in the whole politics sector and the issues. I'm pretty behind the scenes until the issues directly effect me. I don't have a problem with democracy, it just feels like that it has been slim pickins' lately. Maybe its all a conspiracy and we are blinded that the media is the bad guy (that's who has real power)!

Anyways, I'm going to step off my soapbox now.
